This week’s Friday Face-Off theme is a cover from a favourite thriller. My book for this theme is John Grisham’s A Time To Kill.
And the winner is… IT’S A DRAW!
Cover D is harrowing, and stark. The burning cross is beyond ominous, the symbolism is just horrific. But it stands out. Cover E really caught my eye. Though others also feature the burning cross, and in E it’s much less prominant. But the intense orangey glow down in the bottom corner with that impressive, blue-hued vast landscape. Both covers are spectacular in their own ways.
What are your thoughts? Do you agree with my winner, or does one of the others work better for you? Let me know in the comments!
Next week’s theme is a cover that is Halloweeny: “I’ve seen enough horror movies to know that any weirdo wearing a mask is never friendly.”
