The Friday Face-Off is a meme originally created by Books by Proxy and now hosted over at Lynn’s Books. The idea is to compare the different covers of a book with each week being a certain theme.
This week’s theme is a book cover depicting the ocean: “What would an ocean be without a monster lurking in the dark? It would be like sleep without dreams.” This week’s book is The Old Man and the Sea by Ernest Hemingway.

And the winner is… COVER E!
The portrait of the titular old man is superimposed over the stunning ocean scene. The battle with an immense swordfish as the old man seeks to reel it in and pull it aboard his small boat are very emotive.
What are your thoughts? Do you agree with my winner, or does one of the others work better for you? Let me know in the comments!
Next week’s theme is a cover from a book with strong female characters: “Well-behaved women seldom make history.”
I agree Cive E for same reasons
