The Friday Face-Off is a meme originally created by Books by Proxy and now hosted over at Lynn’s Books. The idea is to compare the different covers of a book with each week being a certain theme.
This week’s theme is a cover from a book with a strong female lead: “Well-behaved women seldom make history.” This week’s book is The Help by Kathryn Stockett.

And the winner is… COVER G!
I’m not entirely sure what about this one speaks to me, but it does. The mostly monochrome design with the flash of colour in the maid’s outfit. The dark shadows on either side and the bright light glowing through the doorway add intrigue.
What are your thoughts? Do you agree with my winner, or does one of the others work better for you? Let me know in the comments!
Next week’s theme is a cover from a favourite book to film adaptation: “Cinema is a matter of what’s in the frame and what’s out.”
I agree Cover G – the maid standing in an almost shadowy hallway against brightly lit room stands out in colourful dress
