I purchased a copy of this book for my own reading.
Heading into the festive season, this seemed a must-read for me. Containing mysteries from some of the greatest authors of all time in one enormous tome.
I love a Christmas classic. It won’t surprise many who know me, and that know I read A Christmas Carol every year. So when I came across this bumper collection of Christmas thrillers, I was excited to give it a go.
It’s filled with many wonderful short stories from some absolute icons such as Agatha Christie, Arthur Conan Doyle and G.K. Chesterton, and featuring legendary crime fighters like Sherlock, Poirot, Marple and Brother Cadfael.
Many of these I’ve never read before. While obviously some of these were better than others, the entire collection was fantastic. Filled with festive spirit, depraved crimes and dastardly deeds, it made a nice change from the usual festive fare. A brilliant seasonal read.
