Midwinter Murder by Agatha Christie

There’s a chill in the air and the days are growing shorter . . . It’s the perfect time to curl up in front of a crackling fire with these wintry whodunits from the legendary Agatha Christie. But beware of deadly snowdrifts and dangerous gifts, poisoned meals and mysterious guests. This chilling compendium of short stories—some featuring beloved detectives Hercule Poirot and Miss Marple—is an essential omnibus for Christie fans and the perfect holiday gift for mystery lovers.

I purchased a copy of this book for my own reading.

Hot on the heels of the previous collection of Christmas mysteries, I had to try this one. The previous book contained a few entries from Christie, and having never read her work before, I was hooked. This offered the chance to revisit a few of those characters in Poirot and Marple amongst a number of others I’ve yet to encounter.

Midwinter Murder by Agatha Christie

And much like the previous collection of festive mystery tales, I loved this one. It just cemented my newfound love for the work of Agatha Christie. There was a mix of murder, of the darker side of love and classic whodunnit mystery.

As with any collection of stories, some are better than others, but I’d have to say that this collection is really strong. Another wonderful way to enter Christmas with a bit of murder and the darker side of humanity!
