The Friday Face-Off is a meme originally created by Books by Proxy and now hosted over at Lynn’s Books. The idea is to compare the different covers of a book with each week being a certain theme.
This week’s Friday Face-Off theme is a cover depicting a windswept scene: “Purple sky. The Maester stood on the windswept balcony outside his chambers. It was here the ravens came, after long flight.” This week’s book is Emily Bronte’s Wuthering Heights.

And the winner is… COVER C!
I love the landscape shown on this cover. The misty patches and rolling plains really paint a picture of a windswept setting. Cover F is a close second with the monochrome tones and a pop of colour in the roof tiles.
What are your thoughts? Do you agree with my winner, or does one of the others work better for you? Let me know in the comments!
Next week’s theme is a cover from a fairy tale retold: “Fairy tales are more than true: not because they tell us that dragons exist, but because they tell us that dragons can be beaten.”
A draw for me cover A and H – both depict the beauty abd harshness if tge moors both very moody (not unlike Heathcliffe) one of my favourite books.

Cover A really grabs me with that photo, but I think the starkness of it is a bit much — although it would work for “Waiting for Godot.” I agree with you about cover C — the image is beautiful, and the design feels balanced.

I like any of the ones with the Moors on them. Cover H is maybe marginally my favourite because of the colours in it.
I do like the clothbound classic too though!
