The Friday Face-Off is a meme originally created by Books by Proxy and now hosted over at Lynn’s Books. The idea is to compare the different covers of a book with each week being a certain theme.
This weeks’ theme is a cover featuring a tower: ‘she was a child, the witch locked her away in a tower that had neither doors nor stairs.’
This week I picked The Tower Treasure by Franklin W. Dixon.
Cover A:
Cover B:
Cover C:
Cover D:
Cover E:
Cover F:
Cover G:
And the winner is… COVER F!
I really like the angular style of the artwork on this one. It also gave me a feeling of adventure and danger within the story.
What are your thoughts? Do you agree with my winner, or does one of the others work better for you? Let me know in the comments!
Next weeks’ theme is a book featuring seeds or spores: ‘A little soil to make it grow.’
I think the last one is the one for me. The second one is to odd for words….

The last one was my second pick actually. The second is so weird I cannot quite work it out really!

It’s like a poster to a bad ’50’s horror movie. Not quite how I remembered the hardy boys.
Although they did end as professional wrestlers, so what do I know….

I have to go with E because it is the classic Hardy Boys cover! But I really like F as well. Cover B looks like its the Hulk’s hands

D or E because they are the typical Hardy Boys style that I remember not sure about your choice, bit too angular for me lol

D or E tie as best for me. Tower is visible and they are the vintage that I remember.
