The Friday Face-Off is a meme originally created by Books by Proxy and now hosted over at Lynn’s Books. The idea is to compare the different covers of a book with each week being a certain theme.

This week’s Friday Face-Off theme is a cover featuring planets: “You’re on Earth. There’s no cure for that.” This week I have gone with Arthur C. Clarke’s Imperial Earth.

And the winner is… COVER C!

The perspective in this cover really attracted my attention. The view down to Earth is spectacular and the double shadow really adds depth. With so many wonderful vintage sci-fi covers, this was a tough decision. Covers A and E are worth honourable mentions this week, as close second places I think.
