The Friday Face-Off is a meme originally created by Books by Proxy and now hosted over at Lynn’s Books. The idea is to compare the different covers of a book with each week being a certain theme.
This week’s Friday Face-Off theme is a cover featuring a lake: “The world of water has a way of perpetuating myths and shrouding lakes in mystery.” This week I have gone with Swallows and Amazons by Arthur Ransome
Cover A Cover B Cover C Cover D Cover E Cover F Cover G Cover H
And the winner is… COVER B!
This one is really eye-catching. The spectrum of blues with the pop of red makes this something that draws the eye. It also has the appearance that the boats are made of paper.
What are your thoughts? Do you agree with my winner, or does one of the others work better for you? Let me know in the comments!
Next week’s theme is a cover that is heavily stylised.
Hmm. Torn here as F is the cover I remember…

Cover G for me – love the look of excitement and fun on the faces and the telescope shows the adventures they planning on.
