The Friday Face-Off is a meme originally created by Books by Proxy and now hosted over at Lynn’s Books. The idea is to compare the different covers of a book with each week being a certain theme.
This week’s theme is a car ride: “I had a definite sense of somehow being a passenger in an evil vehicle cruising through Paradise.” The book for this theme is The Passengers by John Marrs.

And the winner is… COVER A!
This is actually a book on my TBR list, and I am really looking forward to reading it. Cover A caught my eye. It’s a nice simple cover, with those icons resembling those of a car dashboard. Though the one lit icon is somewhat ominous. Cover B was a close second for me, the sense of a passenger in a speeding car, apparently in fear – it really intrigues me.
What are your thoughts? Do you agree with my winner, or does one of the others work better for you? Let me know in the comments!
Next week’s theme is a cover depicting a knife: “The knife is more dangerous than the hand and the knife can be in either hand.”
Cover A – very simple but with the added 2 lines of writing, a definite sense of foreboding!
