The Friday Face-Off is a meme originally created by Books by Proxy and now hosted over at Lynn’s Books. The idea is to compare the different covers of a book with each week being a certain theme.

This week’s cover theme is a cover featuring a school: “It was the best of times, it was the worst of times.”

The book for this week’s theme is Wayside School Gets a Little Stronger by Louis Sachar.

It’s colourful and vibrant, eye catching. Based on this cover it feels like the book is fun and quirky. The design also fits the idea of strange goings on in the book. It definitely intrigues me as to what the book is about.
