This week’s Friday Face-Off theme is a cover featuring a bird: “The bird who dares to fall is the bird who learns to fly.”

The bird on Cover G screams bad omen to me! The slight cock of the head at first looks inquisitive, but then seems sinister. The red eye only emphasises that feeling. The simplicity of the snowcovered piece of wood and a lone, leafless twig just adds to an ominous vibe that this cover gives off.
