The Friday Face-Off is a meme initially created by Books by Proxy and is now hosted over at Lynn’s Books. The idea is to compare the different covers of a book with each week being a specific theme.
This week’s theme is a cover that depicts witches or warlocks: “Most books on witchcraft will tell you that witches work naked. This is because most books on witchcraft were written by men.” This week’s book is The Warlock of the Witch World by Andre Norton.

And the winner is… COVER H!
There were a few options for the win this week, I loved some of those classic sci-fi/fantasy style covers. But I really liked the colours and style of Cover H. The warlock seems to be practising magic, creating a portal to another realm. It’s really eye-catching.
What are your thoughts? Do you agree with my winner, or does one of the others work better for you? Let me know in the comments!
Next week’s theme is a cover that depicts good and evil: “People couldn’t become truly holy, he said, unless they also had the opportunity to be definitively wicked.”
I agree with you choice Cover H – The warlock standing in front of the red ring type portal invites you in to discover more worlds
